When you’re using an e-commerce platform like WooCommerce or Shopify, your design may be custom (unless you’re using an off-the-shelf theme) but most of the UX is outsourced and done by people you have never met, never will meet, who was tasked with doing it in a way that will “mostly work for most people”.
This is great if you need to get started quickly, but could be very limiting long-term, because of the false sense of security it can provide.
In this session, I’ll talk about how non-CRO people like developers, agency owners, and e-commerce business owners can start using conversion optimization to better understand the needs and anxieties of the people visiting and buying from their websites, and ultimately be able to provide them the experience that is most likely to lead to a conversion and better customer experience.
