Call for Speakers

WordCamp Netherlands 2026 is looking for inspiring speakers and workshop leaders! This year, our event will take place at Madurodam in The Hague on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November 2026.

Speaking at WordCamp?

We invite you to share your knowledge and experience with a broad audience of WordPress specialists, users, and entrepreneurs.

Whether you are an experienced speaker or giving a presentation for the first time, we welcome contributions from anyone with a valuable story to tell.

This year, we will again distinguish between general and deeply technical topics, and the rooms will be arranged accordingly. Entry-level topics may include Full Site Editing, design and UX/UI, content and SEO, project management, and accessibility.

Technical talks focus more on React/JavaScript, development concepts, PHP, plugin development, and architecture.

Please do not feel limited by the examples above. We are curious to hear your unique perspective!

Talks

At WordCamp Netherlands 2026, you choose how you want to share your knowledge.

We offer three formats, allowing room for both concise and more extensive topics:

  • A lightning talk lasts twenty minutes, followed by a short Q&A. This format is ideal for quickly bringing one clear idea to the audience’s attention.
    Maximum duration: 30 minutes.
  • A regular talk gives you 45 minutes of speaking time, followed by questions up to a maximum of one hour. This gives you enough room for practical examples and concrete tips.
  • An in-depth talk lasts sixty minutes and offers room for a demo or detailed explanation, followed by fifteen minutes of Q&A.
    Maximum duration: 75 minutes.

Workshops

In addition to talks, we organise workshops of up to two hours. In these hands-on sessions, you work together with participants on a case. Everyone leaves with new skills they can apply right away. Possible workshop topics, although you should not feel limited by these:

  • Accessibility
  • Site performance optimisation
  • Multilingual solutions
  • Contributing to open source
