After a short introduction on where visual regression testing fits into a safe update workflow, we spend most of the two hours building and using the tool together: setting up the local environment, choosing the URLs and viewports that actually matter, capturing a baseline, running updates and reviewing the resulting diffs. Along the way I share what I learned in twelve years of maintaining WordPress sites and while building WebChange Detector, including how to keep false positives low and how to fit the whole thing into an agency routine.<\/p>\n
