What if you could build a working WordPress plugin in 20 minutes, without writing a single line of code yourself?

In this hands-on workshop, participants will do exactly that. Using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, they’ll describe a plugin idea in plain language and turn it into a working WordPress plugin they can install and test, right there in the room.

But this isn’t a magic trick. The real learning starts when things don’t work perfectly. Participants will discover what AI gets right, where it cuts corners, and why critical evaluation matters more than the code itself.

The workshop follows three phases:

1. See it happen
A live demo where the facilitator builds a plugin from a plain-language prompt in under 5 minutes
2. Do it yourself
Participants choose from four plugin ideas (scaled by difficulty) or pitch their own, then build with AI assistance
3. Break it apart
Group reflection: Would you trust this code on a real site? What’s missing? When does vibe coding make sense and when should you hire a developer?

Participants leave with a working plugin they built themselves, a realistic understanding of AI’s strengths and limitations for WordPress development, and the skills to keep experimenting after the workshop.
